What are your rates?

I am paid a flat fee for ghostwriting. Part of this fee is paid up front; the rest is paid along the way. If a publisher’s contract is involved, I receive the advance as well, but not the royalties (you receive those). The reason I receive the advance is simple: I’m the one doing the work.

Rates vary (whether for book or business project), depending on the length, the complexity, the amount of researching and interviewing involved, the amount of usable material already in place, and the market.
